[看護過程]とは…患者や病人に、可能な限り最良・最善のケアを提供するために計画を立て、行動していく一連の経緯のこと。過程には看護アセスメント、看護診断、看護計画、看護介入、看護評価の5段階がある。その時に記録するものを看護記録という。

[nursing process]…is a series of process which aims to find, and put into practice, the best cure possible for patients. In a nursing process these are five stages: nursing assessment, nursing diagnosis, nursing plan, nursing intervention and nursing evaluation. The observations documented through these stages is called the "nursing record".
